If you need urgent medical help or advice when the surgery is closed the number to call is 111. 

The NHS111 service is free to call, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Patients requiring stitches, or with suspected broken bones, are advised to go directly to the A&E department at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Princess Royal Hospital (or nearest A&E). 

For immediate paramedic assistance, dial 999. 

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
